High FIve Tour Stop #17: Charelston, WV
Take Me Home, Country Roads
We woke up in a small town only a few minutes out of Washington D.C. and our plans were to head down to Charleston, WV and visit the state capitol. High Fives were the orders of the day. We had the pleasure of stopping off in Reston to meet up with General John Sylvester and his good friend Mike Livatino to come along on our tour for the day.
We started off making the morning video at a rest stop near the Purple Heart Trail and then hitting the road to get down to Charleston. I had never been on mountain roads like these before they were absolutely gorgeous. The green trees with clouds and the blue sky behind it were picture perfect and really showed off some of the beauty of our country.
We visited the capitol building in Charleston and high fived some locals. CBS local news on channel 13 came down and interviewed us about the car and the Wounded Warriors Family Support organization. After the interview we had some great food at Murad’s by the 35th street bridge and headed on to our next destination. Thanks, Charleston! You were great!
