High Five Tour Stop #24: Fort Hood, TX
Fort Hood
Fort Hood was our next stop and we were continuing our mission of spreading the vision of the organization to our troops.
As we arrived on the base and checked in both the Colonel and I were handed a large packet of information detailing our entire stop. We had names and maps of every person we would meet and every place we stopped off on base. It was obvious that they had gone above and beyond and were very excited for the High Five Tour and our Shelby Mustang to be visiting.
We were given personal escorts for our visit and we headed to the III Corps Headquarters. A group of soldiers and press were already waiting for us when we got there. Colonel Folsom gave a short speech about the organization and what it offers and then did some interviews with the local news stations who were covering the event. High fives were given out along with t-shirts for everyone there. Unfortunately a torrential down pour of rain prevented anyone from signing our car but we had them sign the tour banner instead. It was great to meet everyone and thank them for what they do for our country.
