High Five Tour Stop #40: Denver, CO
The Denver Zoo
Denver completed our 1,400 mile trip from Seattle and we were excited to be there. The local VFW had invited to the Military Appreciation Night that was being hosted by the Denver Zoo. We got to meet many veterans from all over the country who happened to be at the zoo that evening. It was great to talk to these heros and high five them but I really enjoyed hearing the Colonel swap stories with other marines, and soldiers. It gave me a real appreciation for what they went through when they were in the service and made me feel proud for the work that was being done to support them by Wounded Warriors Family Support.
